The Janiaks. Generation 1 - Chapter 5: Party Over Here!

"I hope you know that I'm still really pissed off at you." The twins were three months old now.
"I know," he said, smiling. I was confused. And I wanted to wipe the stupid grin off of his face.
"I wanted to talk to you about what my mom mentioned...-" I started, knowing he would most likely drop the subject.
Carter stopped smiling and looked at me seriously. "Maggie I don't know if I want anymore children."

"What do you mean you don't want anymore kids?" I was practically screaming. Okay...maybe I was screaming..."I just...Jesus... Maggie we just had twins. I can barely keep the repoman off our damn doorstep and you want more expensive monsters running around?" He asked, trying to explain himself I guess.

"But that...I mean. Carter I thought you wanted to do this with me?" I was confused.
"I just..." I stamped out of the nursery and down the hall to our bedroom.
Excuse me. I mean my bedroom.

Carter got the message that I was still mad with him (obviously) and slept in a sleeping bag in the hallway.

Imogen woke everyone in the house up early with her wailing for her "ba-ba". Nothing would console her, not even Peanut.

Carter got up and changed, dressed, and fed her though.

I got up later in the day and tried to revive my dead and dying garden I hadn't really touched in a while. After reviving my tomatoes and apples I decided to go back inside.

Imogen finally learned how to use the potty (with help from Carter). No more diaper changes for her! :D

And Carter surprised me by telling me that he had bought a cake the for the twins birthday. Even though he didn't want any more kids, at least he was taking care of the little ones that we did have.
First was little Eleanor.

She got her daddy's normal ears, some darker blue eyes, and interestingly colored hair. x)

And next was Lucy.

She got her dad's yellow eyes and some of my blondish hair. Her ears seem a little pointed, but its so subtle you can't really notice.

My twin girls look nothing alike, but they sure are adorable.

They love to play with the doll house.
Even though we keep having to buy dolls because Imogen and Lucy keep eating off all of their heads. >:|

Eleanor is the only child who actually plays with the house properly.
And Lucy loves her xylophone.

We had some renovations done to the house. We got rid of the living room and expanded the nursery. It's a little more cramped. But I need room for all of my girls.

The next few weeks passed without incident until we started letting our puppy, Moo, inside. And she's always in the nursery with the girls.

And soon enough it was Imogen's birthday. I couldn't believe it.

She's still such a little cutie! x) She aged up with Angler to add to her Grumpy and Hates the Outdoors traits.
She is becoming her father I swear.

I think this is gunna be me and Carter's Christmas card this year. Ha! I love it.

Until next time...

The Janiaks. Generation 1 - Chapter 4: Beginning of Terrible 2s (Part 2)

Carter said bye to Imogen before he left. He knew I was bound to kill him if he stayed in the house with me.
But it turns out one of my friends saw him at the 24 hour diner...

Which is right around the corner.

The next morning I woke up feeling...extremely pregnant. I was gunna have this baby today. And to add to that, Carter still hadn't shown up since up and leaving yesterday.

I tried to teach Imogen how to talk, but I got frustrated too fast.

Right as I was about to put Immy down for a nap, Carter quietly came in and stood in the kitchen.

"Hi Carter," I said, bouncing Imogen in order to make her stop crying. She was a grumpy little thing. He looked rough...like he'd been sleeping outside and drinking heavily.
"Maggie we need to talk." He slurred.
"Whatever you need to say, go ahead." I said, tapping my foot in annoyance.
"Maggie I made a terrible mistake. But you did the same damn thing! You can't even-"
"Jeez Carter, just cuss in front of the baby. Have some dang class!" I hissed. (After all, it would be frowned upon for Imogen to be going around the grocery store with me yelling out obscenities.) I let him continue.
"Maggie you broke my heart when you cheated on me." He said. I guess I couldn't argue, so I didn't say anything.
I left the room and put Imogen down for her nap.

"Tell me everything that happened..." I asked calmly.
"Well I got trashed at the diner last week-"

"I don't give a crap if you were blacked out drunk, you still knew what was going on when you went out that night." I said, smiling sarcastically. "No bullshit. Just tell me what happened."

"She kissed me," he defended. I rolled my eyes.
"And I told her that I was married and that this was wrong and I couldn't just...do that to you." He said, looking sincere enough.
"Then she flipped out because she didn't know I was married. I thought she had known that." I guess I believed his story. People make mistakes, right?

"Maggie I'm here for you. I only left you last night because...you looked pissed. I didn't want to stress the baby out or something. I don't know." He said, rubbing my belly.
I dropped the subject for now.

While Carter was playing with Imogen after dinner...
"Oh God...Carter my water just broke!"

"Are you sure Maggie?" He said, looking not freaked out?
"Yes I'm sure idiot!" I screamed, grabbing my "go bag" and getting in the mini-van.

I hit the damn ice cream truck on my way to the hospital.

But I didn't have time to deal with that. So I just sortof...drove off?
Eh. Don't judge me.

Surprise!
I had twin girls (they're in that black hole of a basket).

Sweet Eleanor was born first.

Followed by my little Lucy.

All of my girls-

Until next time...

The Janiaks. Generation 1 - Chapter 4: Beginning of Terrible 2s (Part 1)

After getting home with Imogen (who I gave the nickname of 'Immy' by the way) Carter caught me in a hug.
"I'm...so happy that Imogen is okay. And that you're fine. I'm so sorry I wasn't there. But no one called."
"Well. I sortof...just...went. It's fine Carter." I never even thought about him not being there.

"You still love me right?" He asked.
I guess I gave a good response?

There was a knock on the door after our...little escapade.
Turns out it was the repossession bitch-...lady.
"Ah damn it! Carter! Oh my God."
"You're like, a month late," the lady said, as she flashed the paperwork and took one of the toy baskets that I had for my daycare. "Carter get out here and stop her!" God he's so non-confrontational. It's irritating.

But at least after that incident...
I noticed him being more timely with the bills.

At first, Carter was always with my little grumpy girl Imogen.
But Carter's a grump too, so I guess they made it work? Ha. It was funny to watch.
He even did some chores for me. It made me...slightly appreciate him more. I guess. I say he needed to help with the chores anyway. But it's cool.
And he did every late night feeding for a while.
But then I noticed he stopped doing it. And he started staying at work late. But he makes more money now, so I guess it doesn't matter, right?
"You're not staying at work late tonight are you?"
My answer was in the form of zoned out silence.
"Uh Carter? It's Immy's birthday! You better not be late tonight! 7:30. Sharp."
"Yeah. Gotcha." He got up to go take a shower. So I sat for a while and had breakfast.

While I was doing the dishes, I tried to catch Carter as he was going off the work.

But before I could say anything he had already left.
Ugh.

I got Immy up for her morning feeding and cuddling...evil...cuddling. Oh shut up. Even evil people can love their children.

I put her in the swing while I did chores around the house.
She is pretty adorable, right?

First I baked her cake.

I sat for awhile while I let the cake cool.
Then I decided to shower and go garden. (In that order. Don't argue with my logic.)

I have four cute little dying plants coming up. I sort of forgot about them when Immy was born, but I've saved them for now.

After gardening (it was 7:45 when I finished), I read the paper until around 9 o'clock.
And still Carter wasn't home.

"Ready to have a birthday party Imogen?" God she'll be my first terrible two. I'm sortof not looking forward to anything about that. But maybe she'll be a good...ha. Who am I kidding. She's already grumpy.

Just as I lit the candles, Carter walked in the door. I let go of my anger at him for almost missing our baby's birthday...

And blew out the candles with Immy.

Imogen got blond hair from I guess the blond in my strawberry blond and she got interesting blue eyes.

But her tan skin and normal are ears all are from her dad. And she still loves her grumpy dad the most.

After awhile we realized Imogen yells at her toys.

Or she tries to eat them.

"Imogen. Baby don't eat the man."
"Eat." Imogen sang out with her cute little voice.
And so she did exactly what she said she was gunna do..
She ate the man >:D
Somehow I enjoyed her devilish moment.
Then I took the toy away, she could probably choke on it.

But one of my aunts (apparently my mom had sisters?) heard about Imogen's birthday and sent her a cute little...thing. Whatever it is, Imogen loves it. She named him Peanut.
Ridiculous? I know.

The next morning I got Imogen up, but she was still a little tired, so she just sat next to her dollhouse and sucked her thumb. She's not much of a morning person.

I made pb & j's for lunch. They were delicious, if I do say so myself.

I decided it was time to go to the laundry mat. Carter and I had gotten to the point where we just...laid anything anywhere and did the dishes whenever they started smelling...

I had to bring Imogen with me and she was less than thrilled with being outside. She immediately started screaming, but once we got to the laundry mat, she was a lot happier.
Because she chatted it up with Peanut loud enough for everyone to hear.
That's my girl. Being loud and inconsiderate. >:D
I also decided to finish teaching Imogen how to walk.

Once I got home from doing endless amounts of laundry, I brought a tired little Immy in with me and put her down for bed.

I stayed up waiting for Carter for forever it seemed like, and finally he came home...at 3 in the morning, he looked drunk.
"Where in the hell have you been?" I said in a sweet ironic voice, trying not to lose my effing marbles.

Carter confessed to meeting this "woman at a bar" and they-
And I never even let him finish his sentence.

And I accidentally revealed my little...secret...
"What?" He said, looking at my exposed stomach, with huge eyes.
"Jesus... Carter I'm pregnant!"
Until next time...

To be to continued...
